Ahmad Husni will be sacked from UMNO because asking about 1MDB scandal in Parliament

Perak Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) is convinced that former Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah is about to get sacked from Umno following a statement on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.

Its Coordinator, Datuk Hamidah Osman said, it is proven with criticisms made by several Umno leaders after the matter was raised by Ahmad Husni.

“Looking at the current situation, I can say that Umno has lost its consideration.Anyone who goes against them will be a victim.

"I'm not surprised if he got fired because we can already see criticisms being made after the question was posed. Other things may follow," she said.

Prior to this, in the Budget 2017 speech, Ahmad Husni asked the government to state the purpose of 1MDB’s establishment apart from the actions that may be taken against the agency’s management if found guilty.

The Tambun MP also questioned the payment status received by the government following the sale of 60 percents interest in Bandar Malaysia project to a Chinese company.

According to Hamidah, she also did not ruled out the possibility of other Umno leaders who will bring up the matter on IMDB if no actions are taken against Ahmad Husni by the party’s disciplinary board.

"If the (disciplinary action) remained silent then what Ahmad Husni questioned is true, and from there others will question on 1MDB," she said.

Hamidah also said, the IMDB scandal raised lately has been an eye-opener and at the same time tarnished Umno’s credibility as the ruling government.

“Back then people might say that IMDB is just a lie towards the government but we can see that the situation has changed and the people has seen the clear picture,” he said.
