Dr Mahathir in Parliament for meeting with Opposition MPs

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad came to Parliament today for a meeting with Opposition members of Parliament.

He was there to discuss several issues including freedom of speech and allegations that the Opposition MPs were not allowed to speak up on certain matters.

Also present were Opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Lim Kit Siang, Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal and Lim Guan Eng.

On Monday, Mohd Shafie, the former Rural and Regional Development minister, recorded his statement at Bukit Aman on his statement over the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) recently.

Non-governmental organisation, the Malaysian Malay Network Organisation (JMM) and the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory N87 Club had lodged police reports over claims that three former cabinet ministers had allegedly leaked government secrets when debating on the 2017 Supply Bill at the Dewan Rakyat.
